AIFC Contract Law: Theory & AIFC Court’s Practice

6 November 2025

The Training Centre is delighted to invite participants to attend an in-person training session on “AIFC Contract Law: Theory & AIFC Court’s Practice”, given by Mr. Yerkin Budenov, Counsel at ADL Disputes, a law firm specialised in disputes.

This training will provide a theoretical and practical overview of the AIFC Contract Law. The session will cover key aspects of contract formation, validity, and interpretation, as well as issues relating to performance, non-performance, assignment, and the assessment of damages. Special attention will be given to existing AIFC Court judgments that have addressed these issues, offering participants insights into how the Court applies some aspects of the AIFC Contract Law in practice.

Mr. Budenov is a financial regulatory lawyer with more than 15 years experience. He had an instrumental role in the establishment of the AIFC, contributing significantly to the development of its legal framework.

This training will be useful for consulting and in-house lawyers working in the AIFC or on commercial projects within its jurisdiction.
